THE JOURNEY

Nidhi Tambi Kejriwal is a development and public policy professional who has studied at Lady Shri Ram, Delhi, and SOAS, London. Nidhi has also worked with Unicef, IIM Ahmedabad, and several other government agencies.

While working for a Piramal Foundation Project in Kutch, Gujarat, she met myriad weavers, craftswomen, and artisans in Bhuj. She was intrigued by the traditional looms of our country.

And thus began her pursuit for the art and textile history of
India. She then travelled from Bhuj to Jaipur for hand embroideries, to Lucknow for Chikankari, to Banaras for meena, kadwa and rangkat weaves, and to Srikakulam for hand kalamkari.


THE BEGINNING

Initially, she started helping her Mother in Law with her
business, ‘MulMul Gota and Zardosi’, based out of Dallas, USA.Working for MGZ gave her first ‘informal’ degree in fashion designing and design business.

After three years in that business, Nidhi has launched her independent label this year.

Her label entirely focuses on the Indian aesthetics and design palette. Through the designs, she & her team intend to create heirloom masterpieces for the clients.
